Large/Adult Biodegradable Ecofriendly Blue Classic and Gelatin Funeral Cremation Urn
The Sand and Gelatin Urn is a fully biodegradable and eco-friendly memorial crafted entirely from sand and vegetable-based gelatin. Made using 100% sustainable and renewable materials, this urn offers a natural and respectful option for both water burial and ground burial. Each urn is individually handcrafted and hand-painted by skilled artisans, with select designs featuring real beach sand or crushed quartz applied to the surface for added texture and beauty.
Designed for water ceremonies, the urn includes discreet openings at the bottom that allow water to enter quickly. When placed in water, it will float briefly before gently sinking and naturally breaking down within hours. When buried underground, the urn biodegrades over the course of approximately three months. Until placed in water or buried, the urn remains intact, making it suitable for temporary display on a mantel or placement in a cemetery niche.
Each urn includes a biodegradable bag for the cremated remains and requires no glue for sealing. To close, simply remove the lid, lightly moisten the inner rim, and replace the lid to allow it to seal naturally. The urn is shipped in a custom protective box designed for safe, discreet transport and meets airport security requirements, fitting in the overhead compartment of most commercial aircraft.
Sizing Guide
Generally, 1 Pound of person/pet equals approx. 1 cubic inch of remains. For example, a 200-pound person would need a 200 cubic inch urn or larger. However, if you have a certain size urn, most funeral homes can make certain adjustments to accommodate that size urn, within reason.
